Studies and admission
Studies
The School of Pharmacy offers a
5-year integrated Master's degree programme(in Norwegian only).
Note that the School of Pharmacy does not offer a 2-year Master's degree programme, thus it is not possible to apply to
a Master's degree programme, for instance for persons already possessing a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
Admission
70 students are admitted to the 5-year integrated Master's degree programme each year.
Student exchange
Since our courses are mainly taught in Norwegian, exchange students usually come to us to do practical work
on their master's theses. The academic/administrative
coordinators on both sides cooperate to find a suitable supervisor (research group) at Farmasøytisk institutt for those
incoming exchange students. PS! If both academic coordinators accept it, and if possible, the agreement can be borrowed to another
"institutt" (outside Farmasøytisk institutt).
Courses in Pharmacy offered in
English and
Norwegian. (Level: 1st year is 1000, 5th year is 5000 and ph.d. is 9000)
Erasmus
We appreciate your interest in the University of Oslo (UiO). As a rule, UiO do not enter Erasmus agreements based on the interest
of one or two students only, as Erasmus agreements are based on mutual interest among the academic staff.
We kindly advice you to get in touch with your Erasmus coordinator as for her/him to send a formal request directly to
our coordinator.
All Erasmus documents regarding the agreement with Farmasøytisk institutt have to be sent through the
administrative coordinator.
When the initial registration is done, the Seksjon for internasjonalisering
av studier (SIS) and the International Education Office will take
over and offer a welcome package and
housing accomodation.
Deadline: The application form and learning agreement must have reached the relevant unit at the University of Oslo before 31 May
for the Autumn semester (August - December) and 31 October for the Spring semester (January - June). However, to ensure that admitted
students have enough time to prepare for their exchange, we recommend that the applications are sent 2-4 weeks before these deadlines.
